National Volunteer Service of Papua New Guinea

Public Relation & Marketing Division

The Public Relations and Marketing (PRM) Division is a strategic unit within the National Volunteer Service (NVS), tasked with elevating the visibility, credibility, and impact of NVS programs across Papua New Guinea. Operating under the new organizational structure, PRM plays a pivotal role in shaping public perception, fostering stakeholder engagement, and driving national awareness of volunteerism as a tool for development.

With two sections (Public Relations and Marketing) and a staff ceiling of 12, the division is structured to deliver high-impact communication and outreach initiatives that align with national policy frameworks such as the National Volunteer Policy on Professional Volunteerism and the Medium-Term Development Plan IV (MTDP IV – SPA 12.5).

In carrying out its mandate, the PRM Division coordinates and hosts a range of major events, including press conferences, media launches, and program announcements. It organizes public awareness campaigns aligned with national and international observances, as well as corporate events such as Annual General Meetings, stakeholder forums, exhibitions, and open days. The division also supports promotional and outreach activities, including roadshows, community engagement events, and recognition ceremonies. Increasingly, PRM delivers digital campaign events such as online launches, social media activations, and virtual stakeholder engagements.

Through these programs and events, the PRM Division plays a critical role in strengthening organizational reputation, improving public visibility, enhancing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring that communication and promotional efforts effectively support the organization’s overall objectives.
